County Economic Development Pl Right To Know Request Form Website: The three county commissioners constitute the chief governing body of the county. Statutory authority of the commissioners is primarily of an adminstrative nature with legislative or policy-making powers. Administrative powers and duties of county commissioners encompass; Voter Registration and Elections, Assessment of persons and property, Human Services, Veterans' Affairs, appointment of county personnel and fiscal management. The position of commissioner is a county-wide elected office with a term of four years. There is one primary duty that the Commissioners must accomplish and that is to create and manage the annual budget.
